a happy post!

Judging from the heavy content of my previous posts, you might just be ready to shoot yourself in the face. But before you do, remember that those experiences have made me cherish -- even more than the average individual -- the things I do have. Borrowing from The Disgruntled Chemist's Thanksgiving Day post, I am going to post how thankful I am this holiday season for what I have:

Although they can be very overprotective at times, I am thankful for having a family who at least cares that I come home every night in one piece.
I am thankful for having the loving and fun friends that I've had for years, who have become my surrogate family and have stuck with me when the going got rough. Special thanks to Stephen for being one of the best people I have ever met.
I am thankful for being with my awesome, gorgeous, and fun boyfriend, who I care about a lot and who cares about me, as well.
I am thankful for having enough money to go to school and for almost graduating!
I am thankful for having good health, a bed to sleep in, food to eat, shoes on my feet, and my own means of transportation.
I am thankful for all of the people and things of whom and of which I am unaware but help make my life a bit easier.
I am thankful for the passion I have that drives me to improve myself and the society in which we live.
I am thankful that you are reading this!
